What we do
For each product covered, Asterisk publishes an informational overview that includes:

Editorial standards
- Sources — ingredient and packaging information is drawn directly from the merchant's public product page, product label imagery, and where available public regulatory filings.
- Health claims — any statement about the nutritional function of an ingredient references the EU-register voor voedings- en gezondheidsclaims maintained by the European Commission under Verordening (EG) 1924/2006.
- No medical advice — Asterisk does not employ or represent medical professionals. Nothing on our sites is medical, nutritional or professional advice. Readers should consult a qualified professional before starting any food supplement.
- Testimonials — reflect the personal experience of individual customers. Results and experiences vary from person to person.
- Corrections — if a reader identifies an error in our content, please email [email protected] and Asterisk will review and correct promptly.
Our review methodology
- Product intake — Asterisk confirms the product is a legitimate food supplement sold via an operating merchant with published terms.
- Label review — the merchant's public product label is reviewed for declared ingredients, dosages and any warnings.
- Regulatory check — declared health claims are cross-checked against the EU Register of authorised claims. Any claim that is not on the authorised register is not published.
- Merchant terms review — shipping availability, guarantee terms and refund policy are read directly from the merchant's public policies and summarised for the reader.
- Publication — the overview is published with a visible last-updated date, and re-reviewed whenever the merchant materially changes formulation, packaging or terms.
Affiliate relationships
Asterisk uses affiliate links to the merchants whose products are covered. When a reader clicks such a link and completes a purchase, Asterisk may receive a commission from the merchant. The commission is paid by the merchant, never by the reader. Every page carries a clear transparency disclosure and a link to the full Affiliate-Openbaarmaking.
Asterisk's affiliate relationship does not oblige it to present a product favourably. Where the available information suggests a product should not be recommended, Asterisk does not publish an overview for that product.
What Asterisk does not do
